Show Up is the brainchild of theatre teacher Robbie Steiner. While running an extensive theatre program at Floyd Central High School in Indiana, Robbie found himself distracted from teaching and directing by the countless administrative tasks that go along with managing a large group of students, staff, and parents. He found himself using multiple apps and digital tools while being frustrated that there wasn’t a single platform designed for managing all of the unique aspects of a school theatre program.
Tools that existed for music and athletic programs didn’t meet the needs of theatrical productions and professional theatre management apps weren’t designed to keep parents informed. He founded Show Up in 2022 and now devotes himself full time to making the lives of theatre teachers easier. Show Up is growing quickly to meet the many unique needs of theatre educators and is expanding soon to offer a similar platform for professional, community, and college theatres
